From Assisi, we drove to Florence, the capital of the Tuscany region. Florence is known as the cradle of the Renaissance, home to many masterpieces like El Duomo, Galleria dell'Accademia, and the Ponte Vecchio among others. In Florence, we stayed at the Ambasciatori hotel. We had a free evening and decided to eat dinner at the Trattoria Dall'Oste SMN (sides of beef were hung near the window -in a refrigerated case) and they boast the best meat, from naturally raised animals. The dinner is very much Italian style with multiple courses and lasting several hours.
The only thing we could do at the end of the dinner returned to our hotel for a nightcap with several of our travel companions and our bartender Sami.
